About CYRA Auto

It starts with a question.

“Can you recommend an appraiser?” It gets asked in car club forums and body shop lobbies, by adjusters and estate attorneys, and by anyone holding an insurance offer that doesn’t look right. CYRA Auto exists to answer it.

The name is the question

Can You Recommend an Appraiser. For most car owners, the honest answer has always been “ask around.” Good auto appraisers are scattered across a dozen associations, each listing only its own members. Many of the best are one-person shops that never bothered with a website. And a lot of what turns up when you search “car appraiser near me” isn’t a local appraiser at all, but a lead-generation site dressed up as one.

CYRA Auto puts the real ones in one place: independent auto appraisers in every state, searchable by appraisal type and credential.

Who it’s for

  • Car owners after an accident, fighting a total-loss number, or insuring a car that’s worth more than the book says.
  • Collectors who need an agreed-value appraisal from someone who knows the marque.
  • Attorneys, CPAs and executors who need a defensible fair market value for an estate, a divorce, a donation or a lawsuit.
  • Insurers and adjusters who need a qualified appraiser or umpire, fast, in a market they don’t know.
  • Appraisers who do good work and would rather be found than buy leads.

Our standards

  • Independent appraisers first. CYRA Auto lists the people who actually do the work. Operations that run one phone line behind dozens of city-name websites get one listing for their real location, or none.
  • Every credential, side by side. ASCAA, IAAA, I-VAN, ASA and the rest appear on equal footing, along with appraisers who belong to none. No association owns the registry.
  • Credentials as listed. Each appraiser lists their own credentials and specialties. Ask for proof of any certification before you hire; a good appraiser will gladly send it.
  • Paid is always labeled. Sponsored placements are marked and kept separate from the alphabetical results.
  • You deal direct. Requests go straight to the appraiser, and you hire them yourself. CYRA Auto takes no cut of the appraisal fee.

Where listings come from

To give car owners a useful registry on day one, CYRA Auto starts each appraiser’s listing from publicly available business information, showing only their name and the state they work in. Everything else is the appraiser’s to add. Claiming a listing is free and adds city, credentials, specialties and service area. Any appraiser can remove their listing with one click from the claim page or from any email we send.

Who’s behind it

CYRA Auto was built by people who have spent decades appraising, buying, selling and managing collector, exotic and late-model vehicles, and who got tired of not having a good answer when someone asked the question. CYRA Registry LLC is based in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
